The Role

As a Junior Tendering Engineer, you will support the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals for high and medium voltage projects. You will work closely with experienced engineers and commercial teams, gaining exposure to all aspects of the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing client (i.e., ESB / EirGrid, Renewables etc.) tender documents for HV and MV infrastructure projects.
  • Support the preparation of technical and commercial submissions.
  • Assist with cost estimates, bill of quantities, and pricing documentation.
  • Help coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations.
  • Engage with clients to understand the Employer Requirement.
  • Maintain tender documentation and track submissions using internal systems.
  • Support the development of project programmes and timelines.
  • Participate in internal meetings and handover processes.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and commercial teams across multiple projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • No prior tendering experience required – full training will be provided
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Interest in energy infrastructure, engineering, or commercial project delivery
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is advantageous but not essential
